Personal Development Coach

Hi! I’m Emily Stephens, a Personal Development Coach, and I firmly believe that making the world a better place starts at the individual level. True change begins within, doing the inner work that ripples outward into our communities. If we want peace in the world, we must first cultivate peace within ourselves. This belief fuels my passion for helping others improve their lives, their habits, and, most importantly, their mindset.

My journey began in the world of performance—dancing, acting, singing, and clowning. As a child, I was drawn to all forms of self-expression. It was in college, however, that I encountered a concept that would shape my future: “Being an actor is like being a professional human being.” I absolutely loved that idea, and it sparked in me a deep desire to fully experience all that life had to offer.
In my early twenties, I took this philosophy to heart and dove headfirst into what I thought was the ultimate adventure. I moved to Colorado to live on my own, traveled to Thailand where I learned Thai massage and Reiki, and even lived in a van as I journeyed through Mexico and South America. But despite living what appeared to be my dream life, I found myself struggling with deep unhappiness. I was meditating, working out, journaling, eating healthy—doing all the "right" things—and yet, I was still depressed.

My lowest point came when my ex-partner left me stranded on the side of the road in Peru. I returned home with nothing but the few belongings I could carry and a deep sense of longing for something I couldn't quite name.
That period of rock bottom became the catalyst for my healing. I began my journey as a student of life in earnest, committed to uncovering the Truth and restoring my sense of well-being. Dance became a powerful tool for my healing, and I began teaching dance meditation classes. At the same time, I worked in the vitamins department of a health food store, where I found myself constantly in conversations with customers who confided in me their struggles. I loved being there for them, and it was in these moments I realized I wanted to help people on a much larger scale than just in the aisles of a health store.
I became a certified Health & Life Coach through HCI, and while I initially set out to build a coaching business, life took me on a different path. I climbed the ranks at a non-profit, eventually becoming a manager, and it was here that I found my true calling: helping people overcome conflict and navigate difficult situations. The most rewarding part of my job wasn’t managing projects—it was facilitating honest conversations and holding people accountable. I saw firsthand the incredible transformation that comes when people are given the space to face the truth and take responsibility for their actions. One woman I had to write up even hugged me afterward, telling me I’d make a great mom someday.
That day has arrived, and I’m now embracing the incredible journey of motherhood while doing the work I’m truly passionate about—coaching others to break through their obstacles and create lasting change. To me, being a “professional human being” is all about living with integrity, character, and empathy. It's about showing up as my authentic self and helping others do the same.

I’m excited to finally be doing the work I was always meant to do: helping people transform their lives from the inside out, one step at a time. Together, we can create a ripple effect of positive change that extends far beyond our individual lives. I hope you’ll join me on this wild, beautiful rollercoaster of personal growth and transformation!
